We recently had the opportunity to partner with some awesome vendors to stylize this gorgeous celebration of Independence Day. What could be more romantic than a meal overlooking a beautiful lake with dessert and sparklers?
4th of July decor is fitting for many types of events during these hot and hazy summer months (and in our opinion, especially for an engagement or anniversary party), but we really love seeing it in this setting. Turns out the golden hour, plus sweet confections, plus two people in love equals patriotic eye candy.
For a more rustic take on Americana decor, we used wooden crates (a staple at so many of our events!), galvanized chargers, pitcher and USA letters, and a shabby farmhouse table. The vintage goblets, crystal bowl, and florals brought a sweet and feminine look that tied it all together.
In our professional opinion, any 4th of July dessert needs to have fresh red and blue berries! They’re in season and plentiful, and you just can’t beat the beauty of a naked cake with them piled on top of luxurious cream cheese frosting.
And can we just take a moment to acknowledge how adorable these two love birds are? #goals
Our friend Cara from Cara Cherry Photography was actually the genius behind this photo shoot. She was inspired by friends celebrating a milestone anniversary this month, and thought an Independence Day dinner would make for a beautiful intimate gathering with close friends and family. So if you celebrate an anniversary in the month of July, this is for you too! My husband and I actually celebrate our 10 year on July 20th, so this is very close to my heart 🙂
