Can we just talk about how much we look up to Suzy VanDyke? She is one of those wonderfully encouraging people who just makes you feel so loved while you’re interacting with her. She is so genuinely sweet; the kind of person everyone wants to be friends with, and the friend we want to be to others. Personal life aside, she is an extremely talented creative and successful entrepreneur with three different business ventures. To top it all off, she balances her work with being a full-time mommy of two little boys (see the Bohemian Beach Baby shower we did for her here), which we know is no easy task.
Suzy and her husband Lukas own their own wedding photography business which has taken them around the globe. Lukas was one of the first to transition into fine art photography a decade ago (and to this day I regret not asking him to photograph my wedding). Their passion for capturing the intricate moments of love can be seen in their beautiful work.
Suzy created a personal blog for the purpose of encouraging women in their walks with Jesus. It was through her blog that I (Angie) saw Suzy’s heart and knew right away that we would be friends. If you follow her Instagram account or blog, you’ll receive regular inspiration to live with passion and purpose.
Small Business Owner
Wild and Free Supply
As if all of that wasn’t enough, Suzy and Lukas launched a new brand! In her own words:
My husband & I spent three months down in Honduras this past year. Whilewe were there, we started a company called Wild and Free Supply to help give our friends [in Honduras] fair wage jobs. We believe in the power of ethical commerce and business practices to transform lives. By providing jobs in scarcely resourced areas, we are providing hope and freedom for families. We believe in knowing the person behind the product, helping the underprivileged, and cultivating responsible buying practices that will change the future and the world. One family at a time.
Wild and Free Supply creates hand sewn, genuine leather travel accessories, specifically geared for the minimalist traveler. For instance, the first product they ever offered is a front pocket wallet. It’s designed to be small and compact (it fits 5 cards and 5 bills or 8 cards and no bills) so it’ll fit in smaller pockets and be more protected from theft. And they’ve recently added laptop bag (part of their new travel kit), which has us swooning. If you’re a traveler, you’ve got to check it out!
We are simply thrilled to have Suzy as one of our preferred SoCal creatives and highly recommend their services for the most important day of your life. Follower her blog and IG (links found here), you won’t regret it. Put a Wild and Free Supply item at the top of your husband’s Christmas list – it’s stylish, functional and supports fair wage jobs. If you love Suzy’s work as much as we do, introduce yourself and let her know you found her through us.
